Day 23: Pie Day

Today is Pie Day.

Not to be confused with Pi Day, which is in March (keep your eyes peeled for that one).

From Wikipedia: National Pie Day is a celebration of pies that occurs annually in the United States on January 23. It was started in the mid-1970s by Boulder, Colorado nuclear engineer, brewer and teacher Charlie Papazian after he declared his own birthday, January 23, to be National Pie Day.

I can respect a chap who declares his own birthday to be national pie day.

Maybe I’ll declare my birthday to be national blanket day. Watch this space.

Anyway: today’s writing prompt is simply “pie day”.

Maybe you want to write about your favourite pie—sweet or savoury?

Maybe you want to write about what national day you’d declare for your birthday?

Whatever this prompt prompts, write it down. Set your timer for 5 minutes and GO.

Happy writing!

TTFN,

Vicky
