Today’s prompt: write about your desk.
And maybe share a picture with me on social media, if you like!
My desk is white and shiny, with shiny chrome legs. I wanted something sleek and modern and clean and bright.
On it is my MacBook on a stand, my large monitor raised up on Cassell’s Dictionary of Slang, and several containers filled with pens and pencils: a Golden Syrup tin, a black treacle tin, a flamingo mug.
There are several piles of books, a keyboard, a mouse mat and mouse.
A desk lamp with a marble base, on which is a photograph of me and Joe on our wedding day.
There's my giant bottle of water, just behind my three notebooks.
And in front of me are a couple of fidget toys, an origami crane I made, and a miniature book.
To my right, on the wall, is a flamingo hook containing my noise-cancelling earphones, and above it is a map of Ankh-Morpork.
I have everything I need in easy reach, and it makes me smile to sit here.
