Day 9: Crunchy leaves

I think it’s an ASMR thing —

(Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response)

— the crunchy sound dry leaves make as you kick your way through them. I love it. It tickles my brain.

And the feel of the crunch under my feet is delightful, too.

Put a big pile of leaves in front of me, and I will absolutely run into it like an overenthusiastic spaniel.

Crunchy leaves are my favourite type of autumn — colourful, crisp, cool, not too soggy (although in the UK I can’t be too fussy about that because RAIN).

The golden light at the end of a day, making red leaves glow…

Evening fires and blankets…

I love it all.

Your turn: set a timer for 5 minutes and write about what pops into your head when I say crunchy leaves.

TTFN,

Vicky
