Day 18: Write a letter

For years, I’ve been trying to bring back the lost art of letter writing.

There are few things more delightful than receiving an actual handwritten letter, from a real person, in the post.

When my best friend Emma moved to Cornwall yearrrrrs ago now, my husband bought me an antique fountain pen so I could write to her. We still write to each other on the regular.

I send handwritten postcards to clients and prospects.

I write monthly-ish letters to my mum and grandma, getting them to write back to me with stories from their lives, so they’re not forgotten.

Your prompt today—and maybe every month—is to write a letter to someone.

A real, paper-and-ink letter.

Write it. Post it. Wait for surprise and delight to come your way.

If you’re not sure what to write, tell them something that’s happened to you recently. Something you’re proud of, or that surprised you, or tell them what you love about them and why.

Happy writing!

TTFN,

Vicky
