Did you know St Patrick was supposed to have driven all the snakes out of Ireland?
By which They mean, all the pagans.
Because St Patrick returned to Ireland to convert all the unbelievers to Christianity.
He died on March 17, and traditionally the ban on alcohol during Lent was relaxed on his saint day, which is why these days the aim for St Paddy’s Day seems to be to get shitfaced as fast as possible.
Today’s prompt is this: do you celebrate St Patrick’s Day? If so, how? Why? Is it a religious thing or an excuse for a party?
And do you wear green?
Happy writing!
TTFN,
Vicky
