Day 16: What does self-care look like to you?

This is a tricky one because I am not very good at self-care.

My neurodivergent brain does not know how to be still and calm and quiet. There are bees in my brain and they won’t shut the fuck up.

So self-care, for me, looks like different things on different days.

Playing on my trapeze.

Doodling in my notebook while reading.

Noise-cancelling headphones and a trip on the train.

A deserted beach at sunset with Joe; sand between my toes; watching where the water flows.

A bath, with a good book.

Dungeons & Dragons with my buddies.

Being kind to myself on a day when I just. can’t.

Over to you.

Set a timer for 5 minutes and think: what’s your self-care?

Is it time for some do you think?

Happy writing!

TTFN,

Vicky
